Minor issue. There is one particular email from one particular company that always appears in garbled characters. Quite possibly they are messing things up, but here it is. Part of message:

When going to View/Text Encoding, Unicode is already selected. The rather unusual solution is to click on Unicode again, then text appears correctly. Switching to another message then back to this, it's garbled again. Did a quick check on BetterBird and it displays correctly. By the way, the Text Encoding Submenu has been axed in Firefox/ThunderBird. Detailed info here: The Text Encoding Submenu Is Gone
